Barry Bonds returned to the lineup from the sick list and surprisingly batted 3rd! He had a good day with a walk, a single, an RBI groundout to the deep "wishbone" defense and an RBI single. Here he took a very wild swinging strike, apparently trying to hit the ball to Tucson.

Well if he wanted to keep it fair, it'd be more like fountain hills ;)
Nice pics!
That said...the way he's rolling on the front foot, it looks like the Old Barry who could cover those inside pitches. Good to see
Actually, I don't think it looks like vintage Barry. He is rotating on his heel, whereas, in his power and healthy years he just ploanted his foot and rotated around it. Here, like last year, he is releasing the torque, doubtless to protect the knee, but last year it caused other problems as well. Hard to tell from one photo - it dpends on where in his swing he is lifting his front foot.
By that I mean lifting the ftont of his front foot - and pivoting around his heel.
it's only a third into spring training, he'll be there when the bell rings.
I guess I'd have to see it live or a video. When he's dialed and turning well on the inside pitches, his foot remains planted, but does roll open. He could be pivoting still from a 2nd look at the pic as Frank mentioned.
