Brian Wilson continues to have a nice spring. He had a 1-2-3 inning. The first batter hit a line shot that was caught by on a lunge by Mark Sweeney. The next 2 batters grounded out and flied out meekly. Brian needed only 8 pitches in the 8th to dispense with the Angels. Wilson has only given up runs (2) in 1 of his 6 appearances.

I agree with you DrB. The worst thing in the world for anyone - let alone someone being televised nationally - is to create a problem or situation for your friends, or in this case team, and then not even have the opportunity to make it better.
When a pitcher comes out after creating a tough situation, the only thing in his mind next time he has a runner get on is to not let the inning get bad like it did last time. That's the kind of mental approach/mind set that sees bad outings become bad seasons.
