The final Giants' pitcher of the day was Armando Benitez. He had a good 9th inning allowing a 1 out single, getting a groundball out and 2 strikeouts (1 called). Looked like he had his best velocity of the spring. The final out of the game looked like a hard slider, away that the batter could only wave at with the bat.....and the batter was Jeff Baker who had the HR earlier and was 3 for 5 with 4 RBI on the afternoon. Mando threw only 10 pitches in the inning (8 strikes).....not bad when you have 2 K's. Please lord, don't let me get sucked in by Benitez.

He's got me...
This is really going to be interesting to watch how the Giants handle this Benitez situation.
Hey GF9
Thanks for being our eyes and ears =)
You remain the best source of ST Info
Hope you don't mind I cut and paste a little of your stuff over here.....
That's fine Merk. My photos have been turning up all over the net. Glad somebody pays attention to the narrative.
Fresno, thanks again for the scouting reports and pics. I really like Lincecum in full stride, and Armando looking pretty normal too.
So whadya think about Armando and his mechanics? Using his legs or limping along?

I pay attention to the narrative more than the pics. The pics are great, but you do a great job describing the games. Much better source of info than the Giants website. You also tend to write about the things I am interested in/wondering about.
I have never been to ST, but I have decided I will go next year. I have a feeling I will get hooked as you were talking about earlier.
