After sitting in the rain yesterday, I feel like crud today. So I did not go to the Giants/Cubs game. Sounds like Lowry is falling completely apart in the second inning. 4-1 already with Cubs still threatening. Noah is not looking good this spring.
Phil....I saw that. Considering I saw him face the Giants a few days ago and he gave up 3 hits & 3 walks without getting a single out.....I'm thinking he doesn't have much left.
Wasn't he charged with 6 runs that day?... Im just excited to have him back because I needed him to sign my card from the 05 Fresno team set and I wasn't going to Peoria to get his autograph - lol... If he does good that's a bonus.
I think people should give Foppert a chance, he's only 26 and the coaches obviously think they can help fix his mechanics to be more effective. If Ortiz could do it why not the younger Foppert? Plus it's just a minor league deal so if he can't fix it it's not much of a loss right?
Jesse only pitched in I think two games last year for Tacoma. His arm was giving him trouble. Maybe some time in Fresno will get him back on track. The w walks hurtr him in his st outing against but I think that there were two balls hit that could have been caught. I know one for sure when the right fielder completely misplayed it.
Please take care of yourself. I have been living in Japan since 1979 and may that your website is excellent. I check it daily.
I have been a SF Giants fan since Bobby Bonds began his career. Yes, Bobby not Barry so I think we are in the same generation.
Born in SF and grew up in San Mateo and Burlingame. Came to Japan 28 years ago. I do get back to the city by the bay once a year. Highlight of my trip back? Sitting in the hotel room watching the Giants on TV.
Well, to make a long story....even longer....thanks again for the wonderful comments and photos.
Hey, great site. I check it everyday and was wondering if you could help me out. I've been in Scotsdale since wednesday and would love to see Lincecum throw. I was curious if you knew when he would pitch again. Any info would be great.
Jim......I have no idea when Lincecum will pitch again. The Press Notes have a "to be announced" listed as the starter Sunday in Peoria. Could be then. Each day's Pres Notes have a section where they list that day's anticipated pitchers......but today's Press Notes haven't been posted yet.
Today's Press Notes are in. Atchison is supposed to start Sunday and Lincecum is not on the list of anticipated pitchers for today. So we are back to my original statement.....no idea when Tim will pitch.
I have been a Giants fan for as long as I can remember. I have had Giants Regular Season Tickets for 25 years (since 1985) and Spring Training Season Tickets since the "new" Scottsdale Stadium opened in 1992. I have gone to Spring Training every year, except the strike year, since 1987. I go to A LOT of Giants games. I also go to Arizona for the Arizona Fall League every October/November. I figure I attended about 125-130 games in calendar year 2008......almost all of them involving Giants players. Baseball is a great game.....Giants' baseball is the best part of a great game!
