Jason Ellison was the only Giant to play the entire game. He went 2 for 4 with 2 walks and 3 RBI. I don't think he is ready to fade into Todd Linden's shadow quite yet.

maybe theyre shopping him? Why else would you play someone the whole game this early in spring?
I don't think there will be a 5th outfielder, absent trade or injury. You have Ryan Klesko, Mark Sweeney and even Pedro Feliz who have logged time in a Major League outfield. If the Giants keep 12 pitchers (almost a certainty) and keep both Klesko and Sweeney (not quite a certainty) there is no room for a 5th outfielder on the roster.
I have been a Giants fan for as long as I can remember. I have had Giants Regular Season Tickets for 25 years (since 1985) and Spring Training Season Tickets since the "new" Scottsdale Stadium opened in 1992. I have gone to Spring Training every year, except the strike year, since 1987. I go to A LOT of Giants games. I also go to Arizona for the Arizona Fall League every October/November. I figure I attended about 125-130 games in calendar year 2008......almost all of them involving Giants players. Baseball is a great game.....Giants' baseball is the best part of a great game!

Good point.........and entirely possible.
Ive always liked him. He's a gamer...I think he should stick as the 5th outfielder/pinch hitter/pinch runner
