Fred Lewis got the start in LF today. He had only 1 hit in his 4 ABs, but he picked a good time for it. His only hit was a 2 RBI single in the 4th that gave the Giants a 4-3 lead.

I wish I was old enough to remember Willie. I just remeber how he walked.
No one in the history of MLB has taken as many flat out ugly swing-throughs followed by line drive basehits on the next pitch than Willie McGee....no one.
Every time I got a chance to see Willie bat (on TV), he always seemed to ground out to the pitcher four times, and yet he maintained a .300 average mostly. Incredible!
Lewis seems to be showing that his talent may be getting overlooked because of his age. Lewis has been hitting and is a bullet on the bases. I believe lewis also is putting on some power numbers, but I feel like he might be best for leadoff hitter.
I have been a Giants fan for as long as I can remember. I have had Giants Regular Season Tickets for 25 years (since 1985) and Spring Training Season Tickets since the "new" Scottsdale Stadium opened in 1992. I have gone to Spring Training every year, except the strike year, since 1987. I go to A LOT of Giants games. I also go to Arizona for the Arizona Fall League every October/November. I figure I attended about 125-130 games in calendar year 2008......almost all of them involving Giants players. Baseball is a great game.....Giants' baseball is the best part of a great game!

I love this stance. Not only aggressive, but looks very balanced and "ready."
