Fred Lewis continues his good spring, going 2 for 6 with a double, single and 3 RBI. He also struck out twice.

Seems to me that one of the main battles in S/T is Ellison v. Lewis. In a way, I'd rather have seen Ellie stink so he could maybe pass waivers back down to Fresno, but instead he's batting the brass into a tough, tough decision.

Is it true that Lewis still has an option?

This is Lewis' last option year. Unless the Giants trade Sweeney......Ellison and Lewis are not competing for anything. The Giants can not keep a 5th outfielder if they keep both Sweeney and Klesko. Molina, Aurilia, Durham, Omar, Feliz, Bonds, Roberts, Winn, Alfonzo, Frandsen, Linden, Sweeney, Klesko and 12 pitchers. That's 25 right there. There will be no 5th outfielder unless Sweeney is traded......I don't think they can trade Klesko until May (newly acquired free agent).
