Todd Linden gets his lead off of 1B. Another good game for Todd. 3 for 3 (all singles) with a walk, 3 RBI, a stolen base and a run scored. I don't know.........if Winn has another year like last year......Linden may take his job.

im hoping winn regains his form.. i feel linden will going back to his striking out days..
Winn is a bust, Im sorry anyone who knows anything about baseball knew that the numbers Winn put up after his trade to San Francisco were most likely an apparition and were subsequently appauled by his new contract. Linden is, in my opinion already better than Winn. I think he'll get a chance to prove it in at least 400 at bats this year.
i remember seeing on tv last season a slo-mo replay of linden's swing. it seemed like he had a lot of secondary movements (is that the word?) prior to his swing. can you tell if that's still the case? did he simplify his swing?
The knock on Linden batting from the left side has always been that his swing was much longer and more looping than his swing from the right side. That left a big hole in his swing from the left side that you could drive a truck through. There was even talk of him giving up switch hitting because of it.
Word is he worked on his swing from the left side, shortening it up considerably. It does look more short and compact. I believe all 3 of his hits wee from the left side yesterday. So far so good.
Tough crowd. So a guy comes to the plate with men in scoring position and two outs three times in one game. Each and every time he hits an RBI single and that isn't "something special"? Like I said.....tough crowd. You don't see that very often.
I have been a Giants fan for as long as I can remember. I have had Giants Regular Season Tickets for 25 years (since 1985) and Spring Training Season Tickets since the "new" Scottsdale Stadium opened in 1992. I have gone to Spring Training every year, except the strike year, since 1987. I go to A LOT of Giants games. I also go to Arizona for the Arizona Fall League every October/November. I figure I attended about 125-130 games in calendar year 2008......almost all of them involving Giants players. Baseball is a great game.....Giants' baseball is the best part of a great game!

all singles though.. not something special..
im hoping for winn's average season not his numbers after the trade.
something like .287 18 78 (SB: 15) Would be good enough for me.

Linden should have Winn's job right now.
