Sun-Woo Kim pitched the 4th and 5th innings for the Giants today. He had probably the best day of any Giants' pitcher. He needed only 21 pitches to dispense with 6 batters. He allowed a leadoff walk (on 7 pitches) but immediately erased that baserunner on a first pitch 5-4-3 DP. After that the Mariners couldn't touch him. It looked like he was throwing a very good fastball. I can see why he was so heralded when he first came into the league. My guess is we will find out shortly why he never was able to sustain his success....but as of right this moment......he looks very good.

The way they are pitching right now.....I would say yes. Brad has not impressed me this spring since I saw his first live batting practice. Batters have been making pretty solid contact off him.
Maybe the Giants will keep Kim at AAA for insurance with a minor league contract.
Just read in the Chronicle on-line that Kim is being worked to be a starter in Fresno. So insurance it is.
