The tie game going into a 10th inning allowed Sergio Romo to come over from the Minor League camp and have a chance to show his stuff for the Major League staff. This is the first time I have seen Sergio since the Arizona Fall League. He still has that pinpoint control that I saw in October/November, when he threw 14 innings with an ERA of .064 and a WHIP of 1.14. Romo threw exactly 1 ball in his inning of work....9 pitches - 8 strikes. He did allow a single, however it was on a lunging half-swing that produced a weak blooper that landed in the vacant area just over the 2B head and just in front of the RF. Romo also had a 3 pitch strikeout to lead off the inning.
