Today I was in Section 101, Row A, Seat 1. In other words right behind the screen, slightly offset from the plate. Except for the screen........great place for photos. I posted several of the photos as soon as I could get them uploaded. Prime Time TV starts at 7PM Arizona time (6PM California time). I have to go watch American Idol right now. If I get a chance...I will post a narrative a little later on.

It is awesome to check out your blog every day, really makes spring training! Thank you!
One question, what are your
favorite spring training ballparks?

As far as the parks go......Surprise Stadium (Royals & Rangers) is my favorite park and the people there are about as friendly as you will find anywhere, but it is in a rotten location. Maryvale Park (Brewers) is also a beautiful park in a rotten location.

Not far behind is Scottsdale Stadium, but it's location (right in the middle of Old Town Scottsdale) makes it the easy winner for the best place to attend a game.

The worst in the Phoenix area is Phoenix Muni (A's). Old, mostly bleacher seating and terrible concessions. The press box area is made out of unpainted corrugated metal......and it was JUST 'renovated". Just ugly.

The worst park in the Cactus League is Hi Corbett Field (Rockies) in Tucson. It is little more than a high school field with a bunch of seats added. The only thing it has going for it is it was where the Spring Training scenes were shot in the movie Major League.
