Fred Lewis started in RF, then moved to CF and then LF as he was the only Giants to play the entire game. Fred went 2 for 5 with 2 singles and a run scored. In the 4th inning, Fred reached base on a fielder's choice and continued to prove that despite his speed he really has no idea how to use it, as he was caught stealing 2-6. Fred is as fast or faster that Eugenio Velez, but is not nearly the baserunner Velez is. He just is not very good at reading the pitcher.

For what its worth, Jon Miller and Duane Kuiper said replays showed he was safe.
