Jack Taschner followed Cain to the mound and gave up 1 unearned run on a walk, a hit, and a 2 base error on a bad throw by Velez. Jack ended the inning without further damage by inducing a nice Frandsen to Denker to Ortmeier DP. Other than the defensive lapse.....Taschner's problem was control. Although, Jack used an economical 10 pitches to get out of the inning.......only 4 of them were strikes. A first pitch 6-4-3 to end the inning tends to make a mediocre inning look better.
