I think our closer felt he had something to prove after not being able to complete his inning against the Padres a couple of days ago. Brian Wilson closed the game out with a 9th inning that was every bit as good as Billy Sadler's 5th inning. Wilson destroyed the A's on 9 pitches (7 strikes) as he struck out 2 and got a groundball to 2B to end the game.
After today's game, I had visions of Merkin, Tyler and Brian handling the 7th, 8th and 9th innings for the Giants once the regular season starts. Really not a bad late inning trio.....as long as they throw STRIKES.

I prefer a shaved brian wilson, he throws better that way
He has a tattoo on his pitching wrist. Will he get in trouble for that, since pitchers usually cant wear anything on their pitching hand?
