Eugenio Velez played the entire game at 3B and batted second. He went 2 for 4 with a double and a single. Again, like Davis, Velez' good day did not result in any Giants' scoring.

As far as his defense at 3B goes, Velez had only 2 chances. On both he fielded the ball cleaning. On the first he threw about 5 feet short of 1B and was bailed out by Ortmeier. The second was a clean play.
