Kevin Frandsen started at SS again today. He had a productive day as he reached base in all 4 ABs, going 1 for 1 with a single, 2 hit batsmen, a walk, a steal and 3 runs scored. Defensively he didn't fare as well. In the 1st inning as he booted a grounder and then panicked and managed to throw the ball only about 30 feet into the dirt in his attempt to make up for his mistake. Instead he managed to get 2 errors on 1 play......the boot that allowed the batter to be safe at 1B and the throw that allowed the batter to advance to 2B. Here he gets HBP in his first AB.

I admire how Franny is willing to play any position, but I think we can all agree that he is definitely not a SS. Hopefully Omar heals quickly and Frandsen can get back to winning the 2B job.

If Kev would have had a past ball third strike, he would have had the Cycle of non-hits...lol
