Yeah cain looks way svelt..I guess he saw from the 2 cy young winners that it's better to be long and lean *shrugs*
Thanks Hank...hope you 2 are having a great time. What's new in town, anything? Did the giants sport these little league iron-on looking jerseys for ST last year? :P
And wow Posey looks like he can literally hit right outta bed. Say hi to everyone I know for me.
Hey Terry, not much change here. A few more empty storefronts.....but not really in the areas we frequent. Last year the Giants had jerseys that looked like the ones they had for years except they had orange armpits. These cheesy looking ones are brand new.
Cain definitely looks slimmer and that's awesome. He has the potential to challenge for Cy Youngs as well and I think Timmy may have inspired him a bit.
Cain looks great! Hopefully the weight loss will help him. It will take pressure off his back, legs and help his balance. I expect to see his fastball velocity be even better!
At the same time, I do remember when Fernando Valenzuela was told by the Dodgers FO to loss weight. He lost the weight, but he struggled pitching skinny. The Dodgers ordered him to put the weight back on (tacos and beer diet). He started winning again after he put the weight back on. :-)
I have been a Giants fan for as long as I can remember. I have had Giants Regular Season Tickets for 25 years (since 1985) and Spring Training Season Tickets since the "new" Scottsdale Stadium opened in 1992. I have gone to Spring Training every year, except the strike year, since 1987. I go to A LOT of Giants games. I also go to Arizona for the Arizona Fall League every October/November. I figure I attended about 125-130 games in calendar year 2008......almost all of them involving Giants players. Baseball is a great game.....Giants' baseball is the best part of a great game!

Looks like Wilson is showing Pat his new changeup.
Am I nuts, or did Matty lose some pounds?

Yeah Cain looks about 20 pounds lighter. Big difference. Hope it translates well into his pitching results.

Cain definitely slimmed down a bit. There's a piece about it at SFGate: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/02/18/SP3J15VCK0.DTL
