Pablo Sandoval makes a diving stop while taking groundballs.......and this wasn't even his best play of the day. During batting practice, someone hit a smash to his left and Pablo made a fabulous diving snag, jumped up and threw a rocket to 1B. That play caused a simultaneous "oooohhhhh" to come from the crowd and the other players.

The pictured play was expected as the coach was hitting balls to Pablo's backhand. The play I didn't get a photo of was more impressive because it was unanticipated. Pablo just reacted quickly and made the play, just as he would have to do in a game. He just might be able to play this position.
