The Giants went back to 2 rounds of batting Practice today. Barry Zito was the first pitcher in the round of live BP. Interestingly, after finishing his time on the mound, Zito walked right past Dave Righetti and went to Mark Gardner to discuss how he did. I can't say as how I have seen that happen before.......although today, Scott Williamson also went to Gardner and not Rags. I don't know if it means anything.......but it's interesting.

I am so not happy with Dave Righetti. Does he do anything???? Hank are you aware of anything Rags has done to help the staff??

Hey SB
It appears to me that Rags is a very "hands off" coach. That's about as nicely as I can put it. He also doesn't appear to enjoy his job. He is about the only guy in camp who I NEVER see smile. He seems to be very much a loner. You hardly ever see him talking to the other coaches.....much less the players.

maybe it's because they both pitched poorly. Who can relate to that more than Mark Gardner?? Righetti was actually a good pitcher.

I'm baffled at how Righetti has kept his job this long. Mr. Joyless, who is not particularly good at his job, endures. (I wonder how much of a free hand Bochy had to replace him.)

Want to keep with your positive vibe here, Hank. Going to assume Righetti is bringing something to the table that fans are not in a position to appreciate.
