Rich Aurilia joined Ortmeier and Frandsen as the only Giants to take extra groundballs today. Strange because, in past years, Omar Vizquel has always taken more groundballs that anyone, starting before mandatory reporting date. This year, I haven't seen Omar take 1 session of extra groundballs.

I hope Omar's using the extra time to work on his hitting.
I saw this in USA Today: "11-time Gold Glove SS Omar Vizquel was held out of conditioning drills Thursday with a sore left knee..." Maybe it's been nagging him this spring?
