As expected, the Giants hitters faced live batting practice thrown by the pitchers today. Barry Zito was the first pitcher to throw on the main field. The Giants hitters swung more often and made more contact than they did on the first day of live batting practice last year.

1st day and hitters are making contact? I thought they usually track the balls.
