All by his lonesome at 1B was Daniel Ortmeier. JT Snow was on hand and was within feet of Ortmeier all during the infield drills. JT would have something to say to Ortmeier after virtually every play. In the foreground is Nate Schierholtz.

Once they went to situational fielding, Scott McClain moved over and played a little 1B and Frandsen moved over and played a little 3B....but not a lot for either of them. Once batting practice began.......Ortmeier and Frandsen took A LOT more ground balls with Frandsen playing a little more 3B. They were the only infielders to take additional infield.

GF 9

Haven't seen any pix or mention about Pat Misch. Any idea how it's going for him?

Thanks

Awesome mentor for Ort!

Ort has good instincts.

GF9,

Is Robb Nen there to help Wilson?

THH....I probably have a photo of Misch somewhere. If I can find one I will post it later. Today was the first day pitchers faced batters...so it is pretty hard to tell how anyone is doing. I don't know if Pat pitched today on the practice field or not. Maybe he will pitch on the main field tomorrow.

Z4CY.....I heard Nen was going to be there this week......I didn't see him today. If I see him I will post a photo.

Now I know why they call Ort "The Big German." He is pretty big, especially compared to JT in this picture.

Isn't Shawon Dunston attending as a guest coach, also?

I always thought that Shawon Dunston would make a great big league manager one day. Hope he is there instructing the kids.
