Today would have been Jonathan Sanchez' day to start. But since he pitched for Puerto Rico against Tampa Bay yesterday, Joe Martinez was pressed into action. (By the way........Sanchez threw 3 innings of 1 hit 2 K ball). Joey did not have a good day as he gave up all 4 of Oakland's runs in his 2 innings of work. 5 hits and 1 walk in 2 innings just isn't going to cut it for Martinez, He looked pretty dejected as he left the diamond. Joey gave up the only 4 runs that Oakland would score on the day.

In the background is Travis Ishikawa who went 0 for 3 and dropped his average to .364.

Sanchez is looking confident this spring, I hope Sanchez makes us and Puerto Rico very proud.

Hey GF9, why no post on the Dodgers-Giants game? It was a great one, would love to have your take on the day and the homers.

Thanks for the blog!
