Ray Durham in the cage. I wanted Kevin Frandsen to be given a shot at 2B......but I must admit, Ray looks good swinging the bat in a Giants uniform. Now if he can stay healthy......

i don't see why every seems to think he isn't going to perform like he did last year.

He'll be able to be given the proper rest to hopefully stay healthy, i just dont' see how big of a deal being one year older is for him

I just don't think Ray can maintain what he did last year. In fact, I think he'll have the biggest fall-off of any of our hitters this year.

Of course, I hope he proves me wrong. But I'm trying to be realistic about this.

That's the problem Jack......health. He has had so many leg injuries since he joined the Giants. I believe last year was the first year that he didn't go on the D/L since joining the team. If he is healthy.......he WILL produce.......but heath is the reason for most people's concern.

Is it me or does Ray look a little thinner in the legs. Maybe he lost a little weight which can only help.
I think Ray is going to be fine now that he does not think of himself as a Base stealer. He knows his role and I think he will have a healthy year.
