Some of you who understand pitching mechanics, please help.
Does Jonathan's arm seem behind his legs in this photo? Granted, we don't know the circumstances, but he looks "all arm" at this point in his delivery.
The ....arm always follows the body. It creates a whip like dynamic that adds velocity to the pitch. I have hundreds of photos of pitchers at this same point in their delivery. Sanchez is pretty typical. Noah Lowry's is one of the worst........his delivery looks painful.
I think it is just because I snapped the photo in the instant before the arm whipped forward. I have many other photos that look just like this....some even more exaggerated.
I have been a Giants fan for as long as I can remember. I have had Giants Regular Season Tickets for 25 years (since 1985) and Spring Training Season Tickets since the "new" Scottsdale Stadium opened in 1992. I have gone to Spring Training every year, except the strike year, since 1987. I go to A LOT of Giants games. I also go to Arizona for the Arizona Fall League every October/November. I figure I attended about 125-130 games in calendar year 2008......almost all of them involving Giants players. Baseball is a great game.....Giants' baseball is the best part of a great game!

Am I missing something?

I know the arm follows the body. I just think it looks too far behind in this photo. Maybe it's just me.
