I hope so, he or Hom. I hope one is very, very near major league ready - at least back up material. I think Alfonzo was running on Adrenalin last year and I fear a return to career norms.
my bad!!! The cubs annoucers said that Alfonzo got an at bat. But it doesn't show his name in the box score. So gf9, I take it they don't watch what they talk about either.
I have been a Giants fan for as long as I can remember. I have had Giants Regular Season Tickets for 25 years (since 1985) and Spring Training Season Tickets since the "new" Scottsdale Stadium opened in 1992. I have gone to Spring Training every year, except the strike year, since 1987. I go to A LOT of Giants games. I also go to Arizona for the Arizona Fall League every October/November. I figure I attended about 125-130 games in calendar year 2008......almost all of them involving Giants players. Baseball is a great game.....Giants' baseball is the best part of a great game!

With Alfonzo out with, I think, an oblique injury, is anyone looking like a potential, 2007 back up catcher?
I would hope it would be Knoedler. I like his bat and arm. Hopefully, the rest of his defense is catching up.

Did Eliezer play catch today or any other day after Saturday?
Haven't seen Eliezer since he was reported to have an injury.
Im listening to the game right now and Alfonzo just hit a double.
