Farm Director Jack Hiatt said on MLB Radio that there is a chance that Eugenio Velez might be moved to center. Hiatt said Velez was worked at center in the offseason and looked phenominal. This is all for the development of Marcus Sanders. Marcus Sanders is now strictly bieng considered a second baseman (previously played short) due to his shoulder troubles. The Giants are really high on Sanders so he will be most likely be paired with Burriss at San Jose in the middle infield. Depending on Sanders health Velez could be either playing outfield or 2nd for San Jose or the infield for Connecticut.
