While the pitchers were doing their stretching and playing soft toss, I heard the unmistakable "crack" of bat on ball coming from the "practice" field. I walked over to the fence and peered through the screen to find that many position players, who aren't even supposed to report until tomorrow (first actual workout Tuesday), were taking live batting practice. I counted 17 position players on the practice field. In all the years I have been coming to Spring Training, I have never heard of so many players arriving so early. I attempted to take about 8 photos through the screen, this one was the only one that was worth a darn (and it's not too good). The position players had to vacate the field when the pitchers broke into their groups for their practice stations.

Seems like the commoradarie is higher with the "Barry-less" Giants.
Nobody sporting the "Find your swagger" shirts though.
I guess "All Out; All Season" applies to the spring as well. Good to see!
