By far the skinniest guy on the team......Eugenio Velez. I watched him steal 14 bases in 15 tries (in only 17 games) in the Arizona Fall League. He is as fast as Fred Lewis but his baserunning instincts are FAR superior. He really wants a job. He did all of the agility drills, stretching and running with the pitchers. I have never seen that. Usually, early arriving position players head out to the batting cages for a few minutes and that's it. The coaches rewarded Velez by allowing him to take live batting practice with the catchers.
