Just getting ready for Spring Training. Seeing if I remember how to do this stuff.

- I have been a Giants fan for as long as I can remember. I have had Giants Regular Season Tickets for 25 years (since 1985) and Spring Training Season Tickets since the "new" Scottsdale Stadium opened in 1992. I have gone to Spring Training every year, except the strike year, since 1987. I go to A LOT of Giants games. I also go to Arizona for the Arizona Fall League every October/November. I figure I attended about 125-130 games in calendar year 2008......almost all of them involving Giants players. Baseball is a great game.....Giants' baseball is the best part of a great game!

did the pitchers and catchers report yet or pick out a hotel they want to stay at for a month?
Hey Merk........good to hear from you. You coming down to Scottsdale this year?
Daria....pitchers and catchers report February 14th and the first workout is the next day. The Giants hotel is the Courtyard Marriott at Scottsdale Rd and Civic I think it is. Although very few players stay at the team hotel for Spring Training anymore.

Yes, we will be there for the first week of ST this time. I like seeing the kids before the first round of cuts. Hey, do they workout on the weekends prior to ST Games? I will be there for work on the 23rd, and im thinking of staying the weekend...
Hey Merk...yeah they usually work out 7 days a week prior to games. Sunday tends to be a little shorter day than the other 6 days of the week, but they still workout. Hey.....if you come to practice...I will buy you a beer at The Blue Moose afterward.

This is a good blog... I am so glad baseball season is finally beginning to start! I'd like to see some more pictures of Matt Cain, Tim Lincecum, and Barry Zito.
