The Thrill is Back

The Giants announced today that Will Clark will be returning to the Giants as a "Special Assistant". I became a season ticket holder (partial) the year before Will and Robby Thompson came up from the minors. Both these players will always hold a special place in my heart. My son grew up idolizing Will. Will was his favorite Giant for years....still may be even though my son is now 30.

Welcome back Will..........LONG overdue. You never should have left. Now....Billy Neukom.....how about Robby????

Giants Press Release

How does this relate to Spring Training you may ask??? Well, one of his duties will be to attend Spring Training. It doesn't say in what capacity.......but hopefully it will be as "Attitude Coach". He would be just the guy to teach the new guys the old "Giant Attitude". Gotta love that Nuschler!!
You can bet there will be photos as soon as he shows up to Scottsdale Stadium.

I as well, grew up thinking this man is a god! I'm just like your son, currently 30 and still the thrill is/was my favorite player. Robby Thompson and Matt Williams and the man who took Will's spot, JT Snow top my lists of best Giants!

Any tips on where to go when pitchers/catchers report? I'm new to Phx, just graduated from FSU, and want to try to add to my Buster Posey collection. :P

Thanks!

The Major League team works out at Scottsdale Stadium. The practices are early. 9am to noon or so. Almost never later than 1:00. They won't work out on reporting day. Just take physicals, get issued equipment etc. In all likelihood they won't even let you into the park that day. First workout will be on the 15th.

During a Fantasy Camp dinner...Matt Williams said he was looking to leave the snakes and get into the Giants front office as well

I hope you are right. That is where "Giantfan9" came from. #9 being Matty's number. But Matty is a part owner of the D-Backs (a very small part). My gut feeling is he was saying what he knew you wanted to hear. Good ole Matty.....ever the politician.

I went to Fantasy Camp WAY back in 1993. Wasn't it great? Best week of my life.

And I wore #9 on my jersey......while playing 3B.
